Job functions
We are seeking a proactive and analytically strong Research Analyst / Sociological Researcher who will be responsible for conducting expert-based research on topics related to the conflict situations, public perceptions, socio-economic developments, and other areas relevant to the Center's research agenda.
This is not a purely academic research position. We are looking for someone who can manage the full research cycle: identify relevant experts and respondents, conduct expert interviews and surveys, analyze qualitative and quantitative information, and translate research findings into clear, compelling insights.
The Researcher will work as part of a small project team alongside a Project Manager and a PR / Media Relations Specialist. The Project Manager coordinates the overall research and communications process, while the PR Specialist uses research findings to develop media materials and secure coverage in relevant media outlets across target countries.
A key part of the role is therefore the ability to produce research that is both methodologically sound and relevant to current public, expert, and media discussions.
- Design and conduct expert interviews, surveys, and other qualitative and quantitative research.
-Identify and recruit relevant experts, respondents, and stakeholders across target countries.
-Build and maintain a database and network of experts, researchers, business representatives, community leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
-Analyze interview materials, survey results, secondary data, academic publications, policy documents, and other relevant sources.
-Produce research reports, analytical briefs, summaries, presentations, and concise research findings.
-Ensure research projects are delivered on time and meet agreed methodological and quality standards.
Conditions
Salary is stable - $1k per month
Desirable skills
- The ability to work with huge data

Social Research Center is looking for a Research Analyst / Sociological Researcher to join our international research and communications team focused on Global Conflicts and Post-Conflict Transformations.
The Center's primary focus is on conflict dynamics and on the role of new actors in both conflict and post-conflict settings. Special emphasis is placed on how these actors are perceived by states, expert communities, and the media.
The research team will cover the full lifecycle of conflicts: from the accumulation of tensions and escalation, through to the cessation of hostilities (or their future prospects), peaceful resolution, and post-conflict reconstruction. War is examined as a factor that shapes state institutions, economies, social structures, public opinion, and historical memory. In the regional context, this includes research on mercenarism, paramilitarism, insurgent and criminal network movements, and their associated branding.
